Dr. Vera Spyrakou is Adjunct Lecturer at Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences and expert in International and European law & politics. She holds a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in European, International & Area Studies from Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences, specialised in European identity, EU policies and International theories.

She obtained her M. A. in European Citizenship and Euro-Meditteranean Integration from the Faculty of Political Science of University Roma Tre and her post-doctoral research at the Dept. of Political Science & Public Administration of National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, focuses on the forms of patriotism and the demands of a new EU architecture.
